Gambi coffee from Sumatra island
The Karanchi region in Indonesia is located specifically on the island of Sumatra, at an altitude of up to 1,700 metres. This region is famous for its abundance of volcanic plateaus and mountains, especially the historic Mount Karanchi, which is surrounded by fertile and picturesque green spaces thanks to its volcanic soil and climate, which gives the coffee plantations around it an ideal opportunity to produce coffee. This crop was treated by anaerobic drying; In the first step, the crop is floated and separated by density before being placed on raised beds, where ripe and immature coffee cherries are separated; It is then collected again and stored in 20-gram plastic bags in a cool, dry location where the temperature ranges between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius for seven days, then placed back on the beds to dry for 23 days under covers to protect from sunlight and rainwater.
